Terrence Green

Rev. Terrence A. Green, Sr. is one of four children. He grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, where he played football, and was educated in the Jackson Public School System. From 1986 to 1991, he served his country in the U.S. Army (Infantry and Military Police), Germany, Saudi Arabia, and stateside. He served his country faithfully until he was severely injured in the line of duty which left him confined to a wheelchair. In October 1999, he acknowledged his call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was licensed and ordained in 2000 at Morning Star Baptist Church, Jackson, MS. Rev. Green received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Ministries (2004) from Wesley (Bible) College, Florence, Mississippi, a Master of Arts in Christian Education (2011) from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova, TN, and is a certified Marriage counselor. Rev. Green serves in several ministries: Bible study; Small group leader; Children’s church; Outreach Ministry/Nursing Home; Sunday School teacher; New Member Intake counselor; G.R.O.W. ministry; Baptism counselor; Marriage counselor. He is currently the Vice President of the Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-South Chapter, serves on the Board of Directors with the Arc, Mid-South Chapter, the President of the Executive Board for Brown Christian Academy. He likes watching sports; and competing in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Rev. Green has been married to Valerie E. (Simmons) Green for 25 wonderful years. They are very thankful that God has blessed their union with a son, Terrence Jr.
